July Blog-A-Day #15: Five Foods That Make You Really Happy

This was supposed to be the ‘things’ that make me really happy, but as usual, all I’m thinking about is food. Also as usual,  almost everything is sweet, sweet, sweet. Just the way I am…sweet 😉 Ha!

1. Cupcakes. Although I don’t splurge on these as often as I wish I could, the adorable treats always make me smile. They are my blog’s namesake after all. They have a special place in my heart.

2. Apples. Especially of the Pink Lady variety. I am the poster child for the phrase, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Cored and sliced is the way to go.

3. Frozen yogurt…ice cream in general actually. Need I say more?

4. Pizza and pasta. Really, all things Italian. What’s not to love about cheese and carbs? I don’t care who you are or how healthy you are. You can’t tell me you don’t love it.

5. Avocados. I don’t think I will ever get sick of avocado toast. Then there’s the avocado and egg combo. And then, there’s avocado frosting…what?!

This list could go on forever. So many food make me happy, but I’m forcing myself keep it short and…well, sweet. These are the first few things that came to mind, but I’m sure the list would vary day to day, hour to hour. Somehow pancakes, black bean burgers and veggies (yes, veggies!) all didn’t quite make the list tonight.
